Hey Hey Steemit Cats, wut it do!
New piece here, this time for graphic apparel. I'm heavy into fitness, and wanted to design a graphic that is relatible to all my Gymrats! Also I will give you a little breakdown on how i did it.
Hope you enjoy! @OriginalWorks
New design for my gymrats who love to work those wheels! #dontskiplegday lol
I started off with a rough sketch and ink. Now i decided not to sketch out the whole things because this is more about design and symmetry than just art.
After i uploaded the sketch to Illlustrator and used the pen tool and did all the line work.
Once done, I duplicated the Line work, Flipped and Placed on the other side for the Symmetry of the design.
Last I pen tooled the head and neck. I wanted this part to be separated from the rest of the body.
Now I filled in the line work with my desired colors
Next I worked on the barbell and weights. I laid out shapes, grouped and duplicated them to completed the piece.
Next I placed the barbell on the man design. Making the head and neck separate, enables me to move barbell, head and neck to get the effect that the Barbell in on the back.
Next I duplicated the whole design, changed the color to white, added a stroke thickness and placed it behind the design to give it pop!
Now on to the type. I picked a cool type that goes with the overall design and converted the type to paths.
I duplicated the type, made it black and added a stroke then placed behind the red type. (for the white I repeated the steps.)
Last I centered the type underneath the rest of the design and BOOM all done!
Now just for fun I photoshopped the design on some internet pics for effect.
