Hello, everyone. As in tradition in july in AleskyArte Academy each year in the last day of classes of the school year, we must make a presentation about an artist or illustrator of our choice. Usually we pick from famous comics artists or mangakas, but this year I wanted to try something else. So I decided to pick 3 of not-that-famous artist I follow in DeviantArt and talk about them, and I called my presentation "Little Big Illustrators", the "little" because they are not like Joe Madureira or Hirohiro Araki and the "big" because they are still pretty amazing. Here they are.
sandara
She is a woman from Singapore. In past June she was awarded for a great development in the past 13 years in DeviantArt as a good illustrator and a friendly and helpful member of the community. You can find the next message in her profile:
sandara has been a huge part of the DeviantArt community for 13 years. An immensely talented fantasy artist, sandara’s digital paintings have made a huge impression on artists all across DeviantArt. Diving through her gallery, you can see over a decade of artistic progression in the hundreds of deviations she’s shared with her watchers. In addition to digital paintings, sandara has made a commitment to helping artists across DeviantArt grow and thrive — from her helpful tutorials to the supportive and instructive comments she leaves for deviants. It is for all of these reasons that we are proud to award sandara with the Deviousness Award for June 2017.

She is really good at making creatures, especially dragons and mythological animals. But she also makes friendlier scenarios, fanarts of different classes and she have made works for Blizzard (for the ones who don't know, they made the game World of Warcraft).
The piece above is a Priest Class mount for the game World of Warcraft (WoW). Here is another example:
You can find mythological creatures such as Merlion, Singapore's mascot:
You can find fanarts such as:
And also works like this one:
I recommend to follow this link and see how this work was done, you can get a funny surprise.
Ravietta
http://ravietta.deviantart.com
She is a woman from Poland. And as she says in her Patreon:
I'm Ravietta, the lass behind tarot cards, animations, and an evil lady called Eriu. I'm a self-taught animator, illustrator, and storyteller, and I've been sharing my work online for about a decade now.
She is a very good illustrator, in my opinion, but what I really like about her are her animations.
Here you can see Esmeralda from Hunchback of Notre-Dame. Inspired by the scene when Frollo sees her in the flames in his fireplace. (If you can't follow this link ).
The animation above was sent to me by @gianphantart and was the reason I fell in love with Ravietta's art. It is stunning, beyond words. You can watch it and feel it moving like a 3D object, but it's not, it's an amazing animation made by drawing. I just love it, I can't say anything more about it. (If you can't see it, follow this link ).
She likes to draw her Eriu, you can fin a lot of art about her original character (OC). She even made portray of Eriu, so you can guess she is good in different styles of illustration:
KNKL
Kienan Lafferty, ladies and gentlemen! A guy from the United States.
I really admire and respect Kienan's work. He is a wide open artist, trying different styles and there's a lot we can say about him, I just hope don't bore you with it, he is awesome.
Concept Artist
He have made concepts for Riot Games and VFX Team, especially for the former's League of Legends (LoL).
Creator
He is a freelance artist for several mobile game companies doing particle effects, promotional imagery, and character ideation and host and produce the KNKL Show, a weekly video series where artists of all levels can improve their skills and experiment with new techniques.
KNKL Show is amazing, if you haven't check it then give it a try.
Founder
He created "EMMA," a multi-issue comic available at emmacomiconline.com and in print. If you are too lazy to copy the link, then click in Emma and take a look! The girl kills zombies. (You can read it online).
Splash Artist
He painted numerous splash pieces for the League of Legends franchise. Works include Diana, Ahri, Battle Bunny Riven, Lulu, Fizz, and more, and collaborated with the Riot marketing department to concept and design promotional materials.
Artist / Illustrator
He have also illustrated complete children's books including Humbug: A Christmas Carol (http://amzn.to/1nAHxtD) and Beau and the Beanstalk.
And more
He really takes attention in what he does. In the example above he study the bones and muscles of a fox girl so he can draw well her anatomy. You can check it here. He focus in the armpits and especially in the ears. He says people who draw fox girls always give them two pair of hears (human hears and fox hears) that makes no sense, so he checked the anatomy of a fox skull and gave to the fox girl a properly anatomy in her skull.
He also makes fanarts, in this case D.Va from Overwatch. He also showed his process in his Youtube channel: part 1, part 2, part 3 and timelapse.
He started no much ago a series he wanted to do from a time now about how to be a concept artist from scratch. There are two episodes already, so check them out!
