Hello my artful souls,
This is my contribution to @sistersartlab 's Van Gogh Challenge
I'm not really happy with the outcome as I realised that I subconsciously 'corrected' the man's features.
So it doesn't really look like Van Gogh' s portrait as he exaggerated the face a lot. But you only see that when you try to copy his work. Still I upload my painting to show that your expectations can't always be achieved.
I used Derwent Inktense pencils and show both the dry and the wetted version.
And this is Van Goghs portrait of the man

In all seriousness, this is really good! Yeah, it doesn't look exactly like his, but that's what makes it yours!
