I like this drawing because in a strange way, it seems funny and beautiful and honest.
This post intrigued me because while your description in writing seems objectifying ("rare female... exotic... a simple girl"), the drawing itself doesn't quite convey that to me, and seems somehow more nuanced. For example, if someone showed me this and told me it was a self-portrait, I would believe them.
I appreciate that your drawing, which is pretty great, made me wonder about these questions about female objectification in art. I hope to hear more about how you and other people with different perspectives understand this drawing.
