you need to create an #introduceyourself post. look at my first post. you need to include in the hashtags, first, #introduceyourself and second #helloworld . nothing can be deleted from steemit, since it is all on the blockchain. i see you posted this article twice, in different hashtags. not necessary and will probably bother followers that you get. steemit is all about building a following. people dont find your post via the hashtags. there are too many posts and they all get covered up.

no you have to comment on other people's posts. its like playing a video game, go around and talk to other characters. if you @ people in a post or comment, they dont get notified of that, (yet). steemit is still in beta.
