Another studio pic of me preparing a new painting

What you see here is an abstract 3D-object I projected on the canvas. I didn't actually paint this concept, but it illustrates how I play around with 3D models before I decide what to paint. A video about my technique will follow soon.

Your work is THE most exciting work I have seen. If only I had the time and dedication and skills to create such detailed work like yours. How much time do you on average spend on one painting?

Thank you @thetruthbomb
It depends on the size and complexity of a painting. I need for the small ones (up to 40 cm) around a week, sometimes more if there are many details. The large pieces take between 1-2 months, sometimes even longer. But usually I have more than one painting in progress so it's not always easy to say how long I actually work on a them. And there a pieces which I have unfinished for years because I get stuck in the process or I simply loose motivation to finish them.

Fantastic Peter - I look forward to the process video. One day when I can afford it, I would love to own one of your large-scale paintings.

My husband and I were just discussing that :) how good would it be to own one of his paintings :)

I would like to know more about this 3d / projection technique to use it in my own work. Thanks again, keep sharing.

I will post some more pics and videos on this.

Great, thanks a lot.

Amazing work! Just followed you! @gric

Thank you @tranguyen!

I love the way you show the steps you take to create the finished sketch. Your posts are like a learn to draw book @gric
