Experimenting with different features in the face [pencil sketch]

in art •  7 years ago

So today I want to show you how making changes to small features in the face can really change the face you are drawing.

I started to draw a woman with these proportions and features. The face looks rather hard and even a bit masculine. This is due to the straight nose and the high cheek bones.

What happens if you make some small adjustments? For example, changing the nose and the cheek, as well as the eyebrows and the mouth? the changes are very small, but the effect is rather large.

The face becomes a lot warmer, kinder and more feminine due to the softer cheek, the rounder nose, the straighter eye brows and a little bit smaller mouth.

If you like what you have drawn, it of course makes sense to add some shadows. It makes the drawing really come to life.

Nice, changing the shape of the face and certain features always do wonders. I like to always give ladies hard chiseled features or soft just to reflect their personalities.
