My painting : Corn Poppy Flower

There are no strict rules on drawing the background of watercolor-----whether you draw it firsr or later. All methods and order depends entirely on your own will, even your mood when you draw.

Background can express your artistic conception execpt viewed against main part. So sometimes when we look at a painting, we can see the current mood of author and artistic conception what he wants.

The water is a great spiritual substance, it can provide many kinds of amazing effects and possibilities in watercolor.

So today I'd like to share with you my painting---lovely corn poppy flower.

The color of the corn poppy flower is very bright, and it is popular for many people. Its saturation is high, thin petals swing in the wind, looked like a pretty girl who was dancing. I hope you enjoy it.

Material：

watercolor paper, watercolor paints and bushes, pencil.

The Process:

1. I used 2B pencil to make a sketch. Since I'm going to be painting this piece, don't need the line drawing to be super detailed;

2.Color the brightest part of the petal with yellow.

3.Color the rest part of the petal with orange, red and purple lake.

4.Color other petals with above the color.

5.Color its stem with sap green, hooker's green dark and lamp black.

6.Color background. First, brush the blank part with water and then use yellow, light purple, blue to color the background.

7.Check the details and it is done.

关于水彩画中背景的画法，是先画背景还是先画主体，并没有严格的规定。一切方法，顺序完全取决于自己的意愿，甚至你绘画时的心情。背景除了衬托主角之外，还有你所向往的意境。所以有时候我们看一幅画往往能看出作者当时的心情和他所向往的意境。而水又是一种非常有灵性的物质，它能提供很多种令人惊艳的效果和可能性。

下面的这幅虞美人就是用最常见的方法来画背景的。先画出主体花朵，然后再刷水画背景的。

虞美人的花色非常艳丽，是很多人喜欢观赏的一种花卉。它的饱和度高，薄薄的花瓣在细细的花茎上随风摆动，像是翩翩起舞的少女。

主要工具：

水彩纸，水彩颜料，画笔。

绘画过程：

1、用2b铅笔轻轻起稿。两朵花要错落有致，姿态也不一样。

2、用笔蘸中黄色，颜色浓一点，画出花瓣上的亮部。虞美人花朵的颜色有渐变，事先最好把可能要用到的花瓣颜色都调出来。因为一旦接色的话，需要趁湿马上染上。

3、然后再用橙黄，深红趁湿接色。花瓣底部，最深的花托地方用了深紫色，再用深绿点一些花蕊。

4、花枝我用了橄榄绿和一点深绿，柠檬黄调和的混合色。虞美人的花茎和花苞都有一些毛茸茸的茸毛，用细细的笔轻轻勾出。花茎的颜色也不一样，需要做出不同的渐变。

5、最后画上背景。先用清水把花朵以外的部分打湿，然后再用大笔点染一些，中黄，浅紫，群青色，让它们在纸上充分的融合，形成自然的状态。背景色可以根据自己的喜好随时调整。

修饰一下细节，这幅画就完成了。
