My Drawing Journey #3 - Cat 😺

in art •  7 years ago

If you've been following me for while, you probably know that I absolutely LOVE cats. So, today I would like to share with you a cat drawing that I made.

Even though that I'm a black cat, I decided not to draw her. Instead I drew a random striped cat.

Lets Take A Look At The Posses :

Step 1: First I used a HB pencil to sketch the outline of the cat's face

Step 2: I drew some characteristic stripes

Step 3: I used a darker pencil to add depth to the darker areas like eyes, nose and stripes.

Step 4: Drawing the fur. this part took a while, since I you had to drew few layer to make it look more realistic.

Here's my final product, hope you enjoy reading this post. If you like my post, please follow, comment and upvote me.

great.. u have talent

Thank you :)

Very nice work. I took private art classes in NJ when I was younger. It was just myself and the teacher. The hardest thing she ever made me draw was my own face. Faces are hard anyway but she made me look in a mirror and draw my own face. I still have that drawing somewhere. That was in the late 1970s. Keep drawing don't stop! Best wishes to you.

Thanks. I find drawing so relaxing, even when the drawing doesn't come out the way I wanted it to be.
You should find this drawing and post it here, I think it could be interesting. Cheers :)

Looks awesome!

Thank you :)

Great work, you are really talented. How long time did you spend on that particular drawing?

Thanks :)
I think it took me about two and a half hours. I spent most of my time painting the fur and adding layers of shading.

I also love cats, cute drawing. You're very sympathetic. Regards!
