Radish Painting Acrylic on Canvas

in art •  7 years ago  (edited)

All my life, I had always believed I had no artistic ability. When I turned 50, I developed some serious heart problems and was unable to work. At the time I had two full-time jobs, a day job, and a sleep shift at a group home.

So, I was done with work, but I had to do something productive. A friend of mine convinced me to go to her studio. So, I worked on this painting for a year, Lol, yes a year :) This radish painting is my very first painting. I learned so many new skills on this painting. I also learned that I loved to paint.

Well, I like it. It's making me hungry... Anyone can paint. It's easier to learn from a class. That's how I started. Cheers

Good for you. We all have latent abilities that our busy working lives make it hard to develop. Many of us find new interests and skills in retirement, keeping us socially, mentally and physically active. It's a great time to grow old!
