Heart of Skull

As someone that appreciates tattoo and alternative art, at the time, I was actually inspired by Ed Hardy's tattoos. Unfortunately, his tattoos were then put on clothing created by Christian Audigier and then became too commercialized.
This oil painting is inspired by one of Ed Hardy's signature skull and heart tattoos. The background is simply a vibrant yellow with the foreground a mix of greens and the skulls having different shades of purple.
Oil painting one of Ed Hardy's tattoos was great practice on painting skulls as well as oil painting study for contrasting colors.
