My taste in art is similar to that in music.Wide ranging. Can't be pigeon holed.See or hear something I like that's my only guide.
I ran displays in the restaurant for local artists. It gave them an opportunity for their work to be seen by the public, and for us it provided interest for our customers, a regular change of decor, and commission on sales.
One artist gave his first exhibition with us, testing the waters before making a decision to turn professional. He sold so well and convinced him he could make a living as a painter.
I rang him six months later for another exhibition, but all he could produce was being taken by London Art Galleries.
Here is one of his early works which he gave me for letting him put on his first display.
I like some old masters. I Put 6 famous titles into a video for you to see the excellent reproduction, even though the video doesn't do them justice.
And this Cottage Garden still as a taster, because the video thumbnail doesn't show ?
