Hi Everyone!
I have been doing digital painting for 2-3 years now but I taught myself how to do everything through trial and error. I developed a style that I didn't really like because it relied too heavily on the blending tool and it made all of my paintings have a wet/oil-like feel to them. I wanted to have a structured course to start from scratch when it came to techniques I used so I signed up for schoolism's intro to digital painting for 15 dollars a month.
The first lesson is about creating images through darkness as we started out with a very very dark canvas and slowly built on lighter and lighter colors. I am very pleased with my results for the first assignment and I didn't use the blending brush once! I feel like I am learning so much and the course is very informative and easy to follow.
Thank you for everyone that upvoted this!
