An animated cadaver of what appears to be a small child clings to the shadows. As you begin to focus your vision on the horrid thing, you see it is mostly raw bones and gristle with a leathern face and empty eye sockets. Its arms however, are long and tentacular. And, at the end of the arms are hands with long and tentacular fingers. They reach for you as if the creature is imploring you for safety and comfort. A moment later, feverish mesmerizing eyes open in the palms of its hands. In the next moment, the ghastly vision has been replaced by a shivering waif. The child sobs softly.
