And so, the MAPPA Study brings us refreshing ideas in this season. We are already saturated with fantasy, comedy, romance, echii, life stories... shonen, shonen and more shonen. We entered the subject of science fiction, for quite some time I was not interested in an anime of this genre, but it is simply spectacular.

Inuyashiki is adapted from the manga of Hiroya Oku (for those who do not know, he is the creator of Gantz... Seh, this guy has very crazy ideas, entering the morbid science fiction and having a perception of today's society very definite and chilling)

The manga has 10 volumes already published by the publisher Kōdansha, and the anime will have 12 episodes so far, being broadcast for the first time on October 12, relatively recently.

Inuyashiki shows us a very interesting plot, and best of all... A very atypical character! the truth has never seen an old man being a protagonist of a manga, and less than an anime.

But look at that Synopsis!

Ichiro Inuyashiki is an adult in his 50s, without friends and with a carefree family of him, his wife and children; his day was ruined by a mysterious explosion in a public park, then his body is replaced by an incredibly powerful mechanical body physically identical to the normal human body, this was caused by some extraterrestrial entity during the explosion !!

Accepting his new body and testing his extraordinary powers, he decides to save a man from the street of a group of young vandals; then he decides that from now on he will use his powers to do good and help fight crime.

On the other hand, a teenager involved in the same explosion, the young Shishigami Hiro, gets the same skills as Ichiro, however the young man becomes a sociopath who uses his new powers to kill his classmates who annoy him and attack to innocent people, even children. The police find out about the young man's actions but they can not stop him because of his superhuman powers. Hiro becomes the most wanted criminal. The story follows these two individuals, who after sharing the strange experience of the explosion in the park, have some day to cross their paths.

As I told you, it's just great, I liked it. it is something that can interest anyone, whether he likes science fiction or not. It has very good scenes, at first it's a sad thing. Ichiro suffers what many fear, being rejected by everyone and having no one to turn to... Well, Ichiro has his faithful puppy.

I like Ichiro because he is great, he is very confused with his new body, he always tries to find out how it works... especially the part when he tries to fly, that was spectacular. Ichiro for me, there is something that sets it apart from others, and that is, it is old, and one which has gone through many unpleasant experiences, someone who can really put himself in the shoes of the weak. And one that when obtaining power will try to make this world a little better

On the other hand, Hiro shows us a very crude way of thinking about us today's self-conscious adolescents, and what he can do when given some power. It is terrifying to think about it.

Anyway, if you want they can give you a chance. I recommend it, hehehe and one of the things that you will never get tired of is its very explicit references to Gantz... Bravo Hiroya, you are a big xD
