Seesaw Silly Daddy

I remember being a little kid and there were seesaws at every park! And they are so much fun to play on. When my kids were growing up somehow these seesaws were harder to find at playgrounds. My guess is that someone decided that they might be on the dangerous side or perhaps there were too many injuries reported from kids playing on them and getting hurt. So whenever we run into a new seesaw I am compelled to briefly try it out... even though I’m not your typical playground-age type of person.

Interestingly, I moved all the way across the country a few years back (from Chicago to California), and just a few blocks away from our current condo there is a nice park with... a seesaw! I decided to draw the up-and-down fun of a seesaw in this illustration because life is full of surprises. We must take the ups and the downs in stride. I think this playground apparatus is also a great metaphor since things that go down can come back up again. That’s very encouraging to me and I hope to you also!
