Things with Faces 13

Why buy plain old bread sticks when you can buy happy bread sticks? Many food items at the grocery store have all sorts of things with faces printed on the packaging. It is an enticing way for marketers to draw us into their products. This simple tactic certainly works to get my attention too. Something about a happy little creature staring back at me evokes a certain pull--especially a fun-loving bread stick character who gives me the "peace" sign.

I love the packaging artwork. It is right out of a cartoon. Even the logo of the alarm clock has a happy face to enjoy.

This particular bread stick product that my wife @denisechips is modeling in the photo was found at a cool Armenian grocery store called Good Foods Market in Pasadena. My wife also wrote about this store in a recent post. We had fun visiting this quaint market, which was like stepping back into our Mediterranean roots. Grocery shopping has never been such fun!

It looks like a maniac. Lol after my own heart. Good read

Thanks. I think cartoon characters on packaging have to be over the top to get our attention. It is an underappreciated art form.
