Drawing Sudan the last northern white rhino.

Hi steemit. Today I show you a tribute of the last male Northern withe rhino, Sudan.

Sudan was a north white rhino, this subspecies is considered critically endangered and possibly extinct in the wild. He was 45, lived at the Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Kenya. He was put to sleep on Monday after age-related complications worsened significantly.

His death leaves only two females of the subspecies alive in the world. This death symbolizes the destructive nature of the human be, we have to take responsibility for the preservation of the ecosystem and make a change in our minds. Our generations have to make that change.

This drawing is a tribute to that idea.

Step 1. Making the outline.

I decided to make this drawing with ballpoint so I began with the outline. I tried to make the line very delicate and add some kind of texture right away. I can’t use an eraser, so I kept that in mind.

Step 2. Adding shados and texture.

I Make the shadows and then I put some kind of texture above. With this method i guaranteed a good effect.

Step 3. The end.

In the end I intensified the obscurity in some places to make more form.

In 2012, the IUCN Red List featured 3079 animals and 2655 plants species as endangered worldwide.
