@praful - I just have been staring at it for some time. I have actually been watching your guy's loops tell my eyes bleed. They are each magic in their own special ways. The cape and the little jet animation behind the rocket would of taken me ages. Like I think I could do the smoke trail ok... but that cape would take me some time. What program did you use?

Hi, Glad you liked it. I am a 3d artist so it wouldn't be very hard to make a loop animation. I use blender and used it for making this animation too. But it won't be as easy as it sounds because the time consuming part in 3d animation softwares is modelling every objects and details in the scene. But, however, the good looking of the animation depends on the skill set not on a software. And... I don't think it will take you ages to make the cape animation, you just need to look for references and techniques :D

Are you saying you just rendered a 3d animation as pixel art ?!

I am also a 3d artist btw. Fancy meeting another one in a pixel art contest. I however am using 3ds Max. The Animated Pixel art was handcrafted in Photoshop though.

Maybe I'm just old school, but that's not pixel art in my book. Thats pixelated art. Animation rendered at lowres.

Pixel art is a form of digital art, created through the use of software, where images are edited on the pixel level.

I think @eqko did the best work. The limited colour palette is what pixel art is all about. The smooth flow of the smoke and fire show a well developed skill set and attention to detail. The others are good, but his is great!
