Thoughts and process:
When it comes to the theme "Free", I sort of related it to freedom, free to unleash your inner desire/ your passion , free from entanglement/ struggles or just literally free.
It actually got me thinking a few possibilities and ideas. At the end, I decided to use a ballerina as my main subject. A happy ballerina dancing amidst the sky, she is on cloud nine, along with all the birds (which also symbolize freedom)
It is a very tough path to pursue one's dream, there will be lots of struggles and obstacles, be it from the parents and the society. However, it takes great courage for one person to fight through all these hurdles and attain freedom. Nothing is free, that is true. To be free, one has to venture into the unknown, following one's heart and never give up, like this ballerina.
