I have always been a sci-fi fan! Besides loving the books one of my favorite things was shopping in used bookstores and marveling at the beautiful cover art. I know we should never judge a book by it's cover but I'll admit that I have done this a few times and surprisingly never been disappointed!
I started painting a beautiful alien woman last night and as I was playing with the composition it struck me that it would look cool as a book cover, so here we are!

Unfortunately the story doesn't actually exist, but if someone feels inspired to write one it would make my day :)
I've captured some of the process below.
Process
The bulk of the work was done using infinite painter (digital painting app) and then the text was added in photoshop!

I've also submitted this to https://curio.cards for their next round of voting but since it's my first time I'm not entirely sure how it works, so we'll see what happens I guess.
I'd love to make this a series, it combines all my favorite things, art, books, sci-fi and aliens, hopefully more coming soon!

I love this, book covers for books that have yet to be, great idea. And you are right, I love this art as is but it would also be amazing as a book cover or a great framed poster as well!
