Hi Julia, thats a great idea and the creativity will never run out, i do same but on my playlist support each week and have done so for many years now on Soundcloud more recently Musicoin and Choon and now this kewl Steemit platform and its many arms, great to find others like yourself who are like minded! I really wish there was something to be done about all the tag abuse, about 60% of stuff in the art tag is either not art or only a little related, it makes it tougher unfortunately, wow thats a comprehensive digest!

Hi there,
I'm not quite sure how to start, because I'm a bit rattled between appreciation and confusion mixed with anger. To my defense I have to say that I'm pretty new to Steemit and that's why I'm not sure how this is supposed to work. And if it is supposed to work like that then there's definitely something wrong with this system.
While I'm flattered about the reposting and the rad comments I also see that @juliakponsford is making more coin on this post than me as one the original artists, and then @agr8buzz reposted her post which also only benefits Julia and non of the original artists.
While I'm not accusing anyone of any wrongdoing and assume that all this is being done in good faith, this scenario definitely raises my eyebrows and I'd like to get your input on how you feel about this. Thank you.

I work with a community initiative called Minnowsupport. We have started a curation initiative (this is the 41st week) the idea is to give rewards to people who have under appreciated posts and also give them some exposure through our followers. At the end of the post I invite people to visit all the artists and upvote and follow them if they like their work because I want to see artists supported on this site as much as possible.
I have voted you using msp-curation and at the current price of steem its only a few dollars, there is meant to be a follow vote that would actually raise your post at least as high as mine if not higher, but due to some blockchain problems it is either not occurring or lagging.
Myself I have follow votes that are automatic to support me for my volunteer work within various communities so my post payout is largely the same no matter what I post. It does take me upwards of three hours to compile these as there is rampant tag abuse and plagiarism on this site so I have to vet everyone etc. (I actually went to your site to make sure you were the real artist and the work was not stolen)
If you would like me to remove you from the post and remove the vote and give it to someone else I can do so. In the past I asked people wether or not they wanted to be included first but many would take days to a week to respond and posts would expire etc. so it was not practical because I need to vote on a certain day as it is a shared account.
Please let me know if you want to be removed and I will do so.

thank you for taking the time to write me such a detailed response. After reading it a few times I understand most of it, even though the parts about msp curation and follow votes might as well be written in Klingon and I wouldn't understand any less. It's been almost 4 weeks for me on Steemit and I'm not much wiser about all the payout and crypto stuff than I was in the beginning. One thing I learned fast though and that is that one has to watch their six here on this site, because, as you said, there is definitely a certain level of shadiness conducted by people who ride the system and take advantage of how complicated this whole blockchain mumbo jumbo sounds to greenhorns like me.
So, please forgive me when I over reacted, but after your generous explanation I'm sure you're one of the good people here. Thank you for picking my artwork and for your awesome feedback, again please excuse my paranoia and I hope there are no hard feelings.

Its okay I understand the initial reaction, like I said my first inclination was to ask but in the end it just didn't work out, and after featuring 200 artists you are the first to bring it up. I am glad we had this conversation though, no hard feelings on my end at all. Just a suggestion I think you should use the tag Slothicorn for your posts, they also curate and support artists on the platform, you can visit the page here: @slothicorn, and check out @elohprojects if you haven't already I feel his art will resonate with you, have a great weekend!

Oh I see, working behind the scenes so to speak. But speaking of slothicorn, and sorry to go back to this, but what I noticed is they esteem the individual original artist posts prior to their collective curation post. I think that makes the whole thing a bit more balanced and fairer to the artist, because when people up vote the resteem the original creator gets the benefit. Just a thought.
