I wonder how long this piece took from start to finish.

I suppose it's a good lesson on the impermanence of life.

Great post. It doesn't seem like you are getting the likes it deserves though. Have you checked out the upvote communities? You should check out steemengine. or steemfollower.com.

That's so cool! also bit more meaning than "usual" naked sand chick :) Great composition to the shot too!

Hello @juliank, beautiful picture. What a beautiful sculpture, great.

That’s a great sand art!! I salute the person or people behind that art. Nice shot tho. Thanks for sharing this😊😊💟

I wonder how many working hours were needed for that sand art.
OMG .. and I see now ... this is in Las Palmas ... I have been on that beach too about 10 years ago.

Ouch! That will be so sad

Amazing art gorgeous

@juliank so beautiful pic u share...

Being a sandsculpturer is an act of giving. Sculpts are gifts, created as rare, temporary treasures for those that wander by the sea. I used to make sensual intricate mermaids and mermen when I was homeless living on the beach here in South Texas. I found an old picture on a backup a few weeks back. IMG_20180225_215756_01.jpg
As you can tell by the shadow, the day was coming to a close and the tide that night would soon wash away all remnants. I always considered them as thank you gifts, offerings to the sea for allowing me to be part of the mystery. Sand sculpturers are definitely as rare as the art they create. It's not easy work but a work of love, love of every moment, every question posed, every smile or giggle given, love of every breathe, and every grain, love of life itself.

That is amazing work, Julian - and beautifully captured by you, as always. It's incredible to consider that the sculptor has invested so much time, energy, artistry and love into creating this, only to have it wash away... Mindblowing! Thank you for sharing - at least it will live on here on Steemit now :D
