The Horse

Some attributes, if your spirit animal is the horse like mine.

1. You're adept to traveling, and quite capable of dealing with it's physical demands.
2. You value your freedom, and willing to do whatever it takes to keep it.

4. You love to explore, blazing a good trail walking or running instead of cars or bikes.

   There are many interesting books out on the subject if you're curious. It can be a lot of fun like reading a horoscope. They can also help instruct you as to how to get in touch with your spirit animal.

Growing up in two different worlds.

I am, for the most part half Native American, half Swedish. There is a pinch of Scottish and Irish in me as well, but when majority rules those are the two main cultures I was raised around. Now, my parents divorced when I was about 2, they both were young and needed to work. So, I ended up being raised primarily by my grandparents. My mother's mom Helen, and my father's dad Errol. Two of the greatest teachers, and best friends I'll will have ever had.
My mothers side, humble-poor, full of gardeners, hunters, herbalist, healers, and spirituality tuned.
My Father's side very successful, hard working, with prestigious educations, hearty loving Christian's.
It was interesting being passed between these two different worlds growing up, both gave me different views of life, and I believe I've become a beautiful hodgepodge of both.

Spirit Animals

In the most basic explanation of what a spirit animal (totem animal) is, would be a soul guide. An oracle if you will, that helps you navigate through life's transitions and challenges. Each spirit animal is like a specialist in their instinctual and wild nature. Generally, you share a strong connection with one particular animal, a partnership of trait's. However, it is also believed that other animals (spirit guides) do come and go in your assistance, especially throughout childhood. It is said that you can also call upon other spirit animals, and their different strengths when needed.

Your spirit animal can appear to you in dreams, during meditation, visions, or even in their physical form. I met mine through meditation, and have since went on to drawn him/her twice and also tattooed.
