The two horses represent opposite forces of destiny at work, unreined, as they lead the way towards enlightenment and transcendence.
The Chariot, the two horses, have no physicality, they are follow the instruction of a still-developing conscious mind still seeking the path of spiritual enlightenment.

Beautiful drawing of two horses, black and white, shown facing against each other. It is definitely an interesting rendition of the theme Chariot as the horses are usually seen more in harmony for such idea.

The horses are symbol of circumstances, not always we can control the outcome of a situation. Here the horses are still one the heart and the other the brain from the Y (previous card)... so one pulls to the left and the other to the right, solutions are not found on straight lines but by heart/brain compromise.
