I'm switching to something other than figurative art for a short spell just to shake things up. I enjoy painting landscapes because the come quite easily to me and are a chance to really loosen up.

Gorgeous landscape, @leoplaw, the colours are so beautiful and moody, as if reflecting a kind of foreboding but mystical ambiance ! The way the sky's lights are captured on the surface of the river's water is so lovely, also. And I love the way you used diffused brush strokes to work with the trees' crowns .... So lovely. Definitely a departure from the human forms, and quite a refreshing piece from you <3

Well done @leoplaw I too love a good landscape. Its' true it allows us the freedome of form and movement giving the suggestion of space not quite required when dealing with the human form.
