Here is some of my best finds from Barcelona.

I started collecting sea glass when I lived on a sailboat. It was a really small space, so everything had to have a purpose. The hunting of glass I find really relaxing and even exciting at times. When you have been hunting for awhile when you find a new color its a big deal. I found a bright pink in Barcelona, I was so excited.

So I had to find something to do with it so I could justify my morning beach combing. I found a technique to bead round cabochons, but it took me a year to be able to bead an uneven peace of glass. Even now beads break and I get frustrated, but I have a unique art that is just mine, and I am secretly proud of it. I decide to bring some to steemfest, to gift, barter or steem. I wanted to show then to you on this post so you can see a side of me I haven't shown.

So here is the pieces I brought.

His it the top of a bottle that must have been in a fire before it was tumbled. I love the fire glass. Its like Salvador Dali glass.

This is a great dusty rose with ray's. It is from the art deco period.

This one is not glass but a shell, I could believe how huge this one is. They are usually smaller than a dime. This one was a grandfather shell. I love the bumps on it, it is a foot of a shell.

This is the one I have been wearing, it is made out of a piece of gray glass with bubbles locked in in.

Oh my gosh!!! These are BEAUTIFUL!!! Great job! I wouldn't be able to do something so small and tedious. I have done wire wrapping around polished rocks before and that was hard enough for me!

Thank you so much @hethur240! I always traded them when I lived on the boat for things, I just started making them again. Now I get to make some with the Barcelona glass! I love the look of wire wrapping, funny thing is I am rubbish at it.

These pieces are awesome! You are definitely a girl of many talents!

Thank you so much!

Hi am at work right now..chat tonight? I will be staying in Rossio..one stop before parque de pombal.

Excellent craftsmanship and great eye on matching the glass to the beads!

Thank you @aunt-deb, I really love colors, I have been told my color matching skills match my moods :) I have been quite peaceful, and I think the colors show. Thank you for reading, hope you and the critters are great!

Interesting tidbit on your moods matching the colors, but it makes sense. The whole process appears very organic, so the colors would play into that, too. I'm betting you're going to be finding lots of inspiration over the next few days...

Critters and critter-herder are doing well. Enjoying a couple days off and giving my poor over-used feet a break. Epsom salts and a tub of steamy hot water - bliss! ;~P

I think I read your mind on this one :) I imagined your necklaces like a string of beads, but that must be really difficult to make.

It takes a while, I have to make a tiny basket one bead at a time then close it around the glass. I like it though, I seem to be drawn to tedious things :) I was laughing when you said I should post a sea glass post. I had just posted it.
