Birds are some of my favourite subjects to draw. The details of the feathers, they are such incredible creatures. I just finished the raven as a tattoo commission, and then had fun doing the blackbird after. Adding the starry sky is such a cool effect, even though it takes a long time. What I find fun is that it doesn’t have to be an exact replica, you can use the shapes of feathers and lines that evoke feathers through out to make it interesting, as long as you have the correct basic shape starting off. Tell me what your favourite birds are and I will draw and post them here!
