Introducing: Luiig.

Hello, fellow dudes and dudettes. This is the account for someone very dear to me. My husband, Luiig. He's an artist.

The first time I ever walked into his studio/temple/house I was in awe. An old little house in the middle of what used to be a paddock. Entering there felt like pure magic. The walls, the floor, the air... it all felt like art.

The house had only two wooden doors, one for the main entrance and the other led to the backyard. The bathroom consisted of partially concrete walls, wood, and old bedsheets. The sheets had paint all over it, skeletons of surfboards complimented the atmosphere. The shower was a garden hose, that later improved with the addition of a shower head made from a plastic bottle... All because I mentioned it was hard to wash my hair there.

That's who he is. He sees something he can improve and he gets to work. He does it with energy and gusto. And, the fact that before throwing what some may see as trash, he reuses it and makes it into something useful. He works with his hands, his mind, and his heart.

This used to be his temple, from a painting inspired on his Nonno (left) to the "The Thinker Man" (right) his version of Rodin's famous sculpture. This image represents who he is as an artist. He paints to inspire the next generation, he paints for his family, he paints for him and those who still suffer in the land that watched him grow from child to man.

And, here, we will now share his art with the cyber world.
