and the mess that artists make in quest for their immortal masterpieces can be works of art in themselves..

Even if a painting takes only a few hours, days, week or months to complete, the artist's training and dedication is the result of decades of hard work and devotion. You don't often see the challenges or studies that brought the artist to their finished work..we generally just see the finished work and assume that the artist was born with talent.

The god-given spark lies in someone's interest in being creative.
The drive to show up to do it day after day is perseverance coupled with skill.
