"Ladder Bed in Heaven" is a concept I always come back to both visually and in writing. It originates from the eulogy I wrote from my brother when he died about 5 years ago. When we were very young I always looked up to the fact that he had a ladder to climb to get into his bunk bed. Being young a talkative I'd share this information with strangers in public like it was hot news, bear in mind I was probably 3 years old doing this, so I didn't know. This was something that my parents would joke with me about over the years and upon my brothers passing when he was 24, (about 5 years ago) I transformed this memory into a poem and continue to put it into artwork like you see here.
"Oh what great dreams could be dreamt from a view so high"
RIP
