Art Petersburg. Pictures at an exhibition.

Hi Steemians! Today I had an interesting event. We visited the exhibition.
The theme of the exhibition is about how books are created.

Exhibition dedicated to the works of a graphic artist. This artist Oleg Yakhnin. He is our contemporary. This Petersburg artist, master of painting, easel and book graphics.

More than 200 of his works is housed in three halls.

Here we can see the original illustrations to the novel of Ken kizi "Over the cuckoo's nest"

Presented illustrations to the stories of Anton Chekhov.

Many interesting works were presented at this exhibition. Were preparatory drawings , and etching boards , and sketches.

The artist made illustrations for more than 50 literary works. They include such famous works: "the History of a city" Saltykov-Shchedrin; "Faust" by Goethe; "Little cahes, nicknamed zinnober" by E. T. A. Hoffmann; "the War with Hannibal" Livy and many others.

Has a little history. This is the machine tools and devices previously used for this technique of painting.

Oleg Yakhnin, honored artist of Russia. A lot of awards, ranks and regalia. Nice to see the work of a contemporary artist. The work of Oleg Yakhnin and are in the Tretyakov gallery and the Russian Museum.
