ARE YOU NOT YET INSPIRED?

Welcome back folks. I can't believe I had enough time to post today. Ah well, you guys know I would move the heavens and back for you all.

Today, I wanted to share a very cool painting that I've been working on for a few days.

All of my paintings are of peace and serenity, positivity, or mystery. This time, I wanted to paint something more chaotic.

I really love working with cool colors, but there's something about lighting a painting on fire with warm colors that is so satisfying.

In all my paintings up until now, It's all about creation, the force of nature, and highlighting the beauty of natural serenity.

Well, sometimes nature can be destructive too. And so can humans. This is what I wanted to paint about.

Artistic Reflection

As always, I'll be talking about the juicy details about this composition, and then deeply reflect and record my ideas on it.

By the way, this is really such a healthy way for me to improve myself and artistic abilities. Just sharing this with you guys is inspiring me to work harder and create really cool things. I always have a sense of "Trumping" my last composition.

Anyway, back on track.

The inspiration for this piece comes from Austrailia. Did you know that Austrailia has fire tornados? It's pretty crazy. See there are sometimes naturally occurring fire tornados. They're caused from high heat, highly turbulant winds, and highly flammable materials such as dead wood and tumbleweeds.

In this painting, I wanted to kind of use that tornado but with smoke.

What went well

• Sky
• Color palette
• Sun
• Smoke clouds

The sense of chaos created by the warm colors and smoke clouds were done pretty well. I'm also getting a sense of technique as my paintings are progressing. Getting familiar with the controls, the brush types, and how to achieve certain effects.

The sun really was another big thing for me. I would say, in this painting the horizon was especially interesting. As I

What could be done even better

• Landscape
• Shadows
• Missed oppurtunity to add more into the landscape

I felt a huge oppurtunity was missed in the landscape, plenty of spots for interesting landmarks and shrubbery.

I feel like while my concepts are shaping, the overall quality of my paintings are just not there yet. Not enough quality, not enough realism. And while I know these things will come to me over time, I just can't shake off this feeling of wanting to do something drastic, like taking an art workshop.

Self-learning can be effective too, but I want to improve as quickly as I can to produce higher quality compositions for you folks.
