Hello guys!
I'm mango shake and I'm new to steam.
This is my first time posting on steam and I'm a little nervous and excited!
I love drawing, so I thought why don't I make a post about art. So here I am with an art tutorial! I'll be doing a step by step tutorial on how to color an eye. Hope you enjoy it!

Frist, off I start with a simple outline of the eye with a pencil.

Next, i link the lash and base part of the eye keeping the iris blank because we will add the details with marker.

For our colors, i like to use a dark tone, two or one mid-tone, and a highlight color.

  1. I start with the dark tone on the top to resemble a shadow being cast on the eye from the thick lashes
  2. Then I add the two/one mid tone of your choice and blend that in with your dark tone
( don't forget to keep white spaces for the highlights on the eye or you can use a white gel pen and add the highlights after)
  3. Use ur mid-tone and add a band around the whole eye keeping a space for the highlight.
  4. add the highlight
  5. Finally, add the pupil using a black or a very dark version of your color in my example (green)

To add depth to the eye using a light grey around the top of the eye.
This will make your eye come to life!

Add your finishing touches and you're done!
I hope this step by step tutorial helped you on coloring an eye!
