"The important principle is 'agony' between the affirmative and denying forces in us. One part says yes and another no. The outcome is uncertain, for we have no guarantee of success in any form that we might recognize. This uncertainty is fundamental, for in reality it opens the way to the deeper aspects of being, beyond the relatively superficial strength we can attain such as in control over eating and laziness. It reaches into the very centre of our selfhood where, eventually, we have to face the need .to renounce our egoism."

I'd say it goes well beyond being "difficult". The enigma is that it is impossible, and yet happens!
Leonard Cohen had many verses which are not in his recorded versions of Hallelujah, but which were in some live performances, when the Zeitgeist called them out of him.
"I’ve seen your flag on the marble arch,
but (listen) love is not some kind of victory march,
no, it’s a cold and it’s a very broken Hallelujah!"
Perhaps my favorite version of Cohen's masterpiece, the one by K D Lang, takes that verse, makes it her own, and knocks it out of the park :-)
It still gives me chills..........

In the Miracle of Love intensives there was an aphorism: "Let go, Let God"
In progression: Hope came first, desire & love second, then more hope and desire of recognition for one's beauty finally wrapped with the desire for love and tenderness.
Beautiful! thanks again for sharing, I don't know how you manage to find all this time to do all this art. You are very productive! Thanks for sharing. Namaste :)
Oh my dear Eric!!! You and @onceuponatime always make my day with your comments - usually deeper and much better expressed than the post itself! You add value to my posts in every way.
I multitask. Usually conference calls are my best drawing times ;)
Namaste!
Thank you so very much @mariandavp, it is such a pleasure, as always to share bilaterally and even more so the case when it is received with such enthusiasm and kindnesses coming back our way.
Since you are working on your art during conference calls, is it to say your art is imbued of the "conference call" vibes too??? I sure get affected by the music I play when I write or take pictures. The outlooks, perspectives and general vibes and harmonics are very different depending on the environment I find myself in and definitely affects my artistic expressions. ;)
Have a great day, keep your smile, thrive on and namaste :)
