At least, that is my opinion and experience. You fidget when you're nervous. They get all clammy when you are ashamed. They shake when you drank too much beer yesterday. They ball up when you are tense. They spread when you are scared as hell.
They wrinkle when they get wet or old. They get spots. They are puffy after a long walk in warm weather, or when they are a youngster's. They burn on the oven, they bump clumsily against the wall. They can be roughed up due to manual work, they can be soft as silk. They can break and fight, they can care and caress. They can creat stories and music. I love these complicated part of the human body.
