CELESTIAL FIRE

Flow/fluid art has become a new found art love of mine over the past few months. I’m not quite sure where the inspiration to experiment with this form of abstract expressionism spurred from, possibly scrolling past an Instagram post or the likes. As an all round creative I’ve dabbled in many forms of creative expression from a young age, painting definitely being one of them!
But before I knew it I was super inspired & watching tutorials on my tram rides home from work to grow my knowledge on different techniques to use in this fascinating art form.

This piece was an interesting one to create as it was the first that I actually thought out the colour palette that I wanted to use along with the basic flow of where I wanted it to go.
I started by creating a softness with gentle pinks & aquas to hold the space and become the foundation for the next layers.

Flow art is an interesting creature to work with as one only has a certain amount of control over where it goes with the different mediums used. From there the paint & the reactions they can have do indeed have a mind of their own.

This piece I named CELESTIAL FIRE. I actually found some song lyrics from my song Tidal Wave that poetically capture it.

Momentary Bliss
In this planetary abyss
As I fall into this atmosphere

Celestial Fire
Burning brightly within us all
As we fall from grace.

That turned out really cool. There was actually a flow art workshop at a community center in my town recently. I didn't get to go due to a schedule conflict, but they did post a few pictures of the event online. It seems like it would be a fun art-form. I could also see how it would be nice to be relieved of the worry that things might not work out a certain way, given that you don't have total control how they turn out anyway.

Thanks @veckinon! Flow art is definitely a gentle approach to being creative with colour & paints.. surrendering the fact that you don’t have total control can be quite liberating when creating!

Such a great piece!
I certainly see the celestial fire and the tidal waves in this!
I love the pareidolia effect of seeing faces on one side.
Great work!

These are awesome, so very creative I love it - great share.
