Drawing Cat Portraits Step by Step

in art •  7 years ago  (edited)

To do a proportional sketch of the entire portrait and then start shading and get a more accurate sketch. if you want realism, avoid to outline features and outlines, especially like the side of the mouth or some sort of gap between the holes in the mouth area. It's just a delicate shadow.

you should really see how those tones and values transition from one another. As I draw each feature, you'll see some repetitive errors like outlining the roughly feature features. I only use black charcoal pencil for hair or fur. It's easier to do the fur style that grows on the body of a cat. of course this has more value because it is basically pretty much blackish gray. I started from the face of the cat with the lines of feathers and eyes.

Next, I get the powdered charcoal and mix it all over the cat's face with my mouth open to reveal the fangs. to get a good base layer and add any shadows so that on the side of the face will become darker. I use it by thickening the feathers on the face. I just use a little powder there to make it a little darker. There you can see that it looks very black.

Then for my cat body image by drawing a line from the cat's head to the whole. and this part I came in with charcoal dark pencil to add details. I used a charcoal pencil with a very sharp point to get into the fur on the line on the badanya. I use a monolith zero to pull some extra hairs out of the bottom line and highlighted hair to give the dimensions a bit more and make it look highlighted and more prominent.

As seen initially I came in with a pencil and drew more thick lines to form thick feathers in the body of a cat, and look more.

That's some sketch of a cat from my pencil, I hope you like it my gallery artwork. give some of your comments.
