Exploring Earlier Futures

I have recently been studying, to a far deeper level, some of the rarer learned histories of humanity. My current body of work deals with some of these new understandings of advanced knowledge and ancient artifacts of our distant past, which for all intents and purposes, have been left out of our purview of knowing.

The impact of my life’s research on gnosis of self has been profound; similarities found in architecture and cultural design across civilizations, across millennia are not only aesthetically fascinating from a visual artist’s perspective, but also lend themselves to a very practical and rational application into research of our pre-historical roots. This has been a significant personal discovery of mine because as a Caucasian Male my “I” has always felt out of place. Yet somehow, as I paint this history, I feel a sense of grounding back to my ancestral lineage, to a point in time that illustrates how we Earth People have more in common than not. I find the human story, the history of the world, and of civilizations, to be my favorite subject matter in the narrative paintings I create. Its power of evidence left throughout history causes the mind to contort and work to interpret the big questions about who we are. It is these processes of critical thinking, of making connections where they may not have previously existed, seeking truth and blending it into the ultimate form, though a challenge, ultimately becomes educational to the viewer as well the artist. It is a perspective out of billions that we somehow relate to that is unifying, that helps us to see all of humanity in a new light. Art inspires this conversation to take place. Stay Golden, M1.
