Here we are not far from the Admiralty and the monument to Peter the Great. Here are the buildings of the Constitutional Court. These buildings were erected in 1829 - 1834 and are connected by a triumphal arch, through which the Galernaya Street originates.
These buildings were built for the government bodies of Russia of those years - the Senate and the Holy Synod. It was one of the last great projects of the architect Charles Ivanovich Rossi.
Today, these buildings house the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation and the Russian Presidential Library.
We have met one more architectural monument of St. Petersburg in the style of late classicism. If you are not tired, we will continue the tour after a while. Get some rest and join us again.
