Most people hear the name "Stradivari" but couldn't say anything else. Today, I present to you the most expensive string instrument in world - The Macdonald Stradivarius Viola. It's the only survivng viola made by Antonio Stradivari who produced only 10 such instruments and this one is in fantastically great shape. It was named for the 3rd Baron Macdonald, Godfrey Bosville, who acquired the instrument in the 1820s.

In 2014 this fine instrument was put up for silent auction through London musical instruments auction house and the minimum bidding price was $45 million. Unfortunately, it failed to sell.
If some of you have enough crypto to sell, you might have enough to be a proud owner of this great viola.
