I was frolicking through Brooklyn (BK) last night and passed by two of the dopest Biggie murals. The murals are located in Biggie's old neighborhood in Bedford Stuyvesant aka Bed Stuy (what we call it) or "do or die, bed stuy". If you take a walk through certain parts of BK, you may come across some of the most exquisite works of spray painted art.
Located on Bedford Ave and Quincy Street, the landlord of this building had threatened to destroy the Biggie mural unless he was paid $1250 per month by the artists who painted it. Well that never happened and fortunately, after receiving backlash from a lot of angry people, he later decided to let it stay put. Yaaaaay!
The second mural is located on the side of a pizzeria on Dekalb Ave. and Franklin Ave. SO DOPE!!!!
My favorite Biggie songs are 'Gimme the Loot' and 'Warning' from Biggie's first album called Ready to Die. What's your favorite Biggie song?
