Mini Classic Arcade #12 - Galaga (made from cardboard)

in art •  7 years ago  (edited)

Hello Steemians! Here's the 12th cabinet I've made in the 'Mini Cardboard Arcade' collection. It's the 1981 classic space-shooter by Namco/Midway; Galaga!

I used markers to hand draw the graphics onto the back of a cereal box before cutting it out and folding it up.

It stands about 2 3/4 inches tall:

Check out my blog for more mini cardboard arcade cabinets and if you'd like to make one yourself then be sure to check out this free downloadable template of a Mortal Kombat game I made here:

It's a PDF file so if you would like another format then let me know and I'll add it here for download.

What was your favorite classic arcade game?? Leave a comment if you like and I'll pick one to make.

Love these. Very artistic. I would suggest you actually show the full process of making some of them. Like from PDF file through design and assembly. I really think it would take your posts to the next level.

As for some of my favorite games that I would love to see you make - Mario Brothers (the original, not Super), Gauntlet, Journey (the band had a video game), and if you could manage to do Crossbow it would be an awesome variation for you I think.

Thanks and I look forward to more.
