Hey Steemians!

Here's a #dailydoodle and a couple of process shots (:

Shadows, details, then the donuts peaking out under the icing.

I like this soft look, and would be content to call it finished here, but I added black fineliner for practice.

Sketched on a 6" x 6" piece of Canson watercolor paper. Painted using Mijello Mission Gold Watercolor. After allowing the paint to dry completely, I added detail with a Copic Multiliner 0.05mm. I also used a white Sakura GellyRoll pen to add some details and highlights.

That's super cute ! I've tried painting small stuff with watercolor and I always make the mistake of using the black pen first. Thanks for showing your process, I'll definitely try it that way next time.

Hi @zelyn, thanks! I've seen awesome art that started with black ink, I think the effect can look different depending on your subject. Anyway, I do hope it works out for you (: keep experimenting!
