The upper echelons of the art world have all gathered in Las Vegas this week, as taste-makers, philanthropists and reporters eagerly look to Wednesday's unveiling of Seven Magic Mountains, Ugo Rondinone's ambitious new public art installation in the Nevada desert.
My comments: I'm not usually a big fan of modern art installations in public, but I really like the contrast of the bright colors with the desert. Besides, there's nothing there but the desert and the city. Based on another picture in the article that shows people standing around, the columns seems to be around 5m tall.
I prefer Stonehenge in England

Stonehenge is cooler because of its possible importance in mysticism and use as a calendar.
