Reflection, an acrylic canvas, 16 x 20' by @mongoosely

Good morning, STEEMIANS

I'm missing my STEEMIES so much! I've been working so much lately, I hardly have time for Social Media! Before I rush off to work, here's an old painting, Reflection.

I found a photograph of this beautiful landscape and decided to transfer the image on canvas. It's not exact, but my interpretation. However, believe it or not but it was a difficult process blending the colors of yellows, reds and brown to create the sky. The tree was equally difficult having to choose just the right brush to create the tiny foliage on the tree ....and then came the reflection of the tree. OMG... that was a challenge in itself!

In the end it came together.... I hope you like it!

Thank you!

The stark colours are very bold and I really like the sparse composition...

Would be wonderful to see step by step process pictures included with your posts, @mongoosely... I think Steemit audience love that kind of contents :)

@veryspider Thank you.

Hopefully one day I will organise myself to give the community what they want. Right now, I work a full time job, and paint spontaneously without considering anything but painting.... :D

Oh I can relate, I also work full time job and do art on the side, but I think my art is easier to capture step by step photos off since I mostly do ink pieces. But yes, I'd like to see that you get more love here on Steemit!

Doesn't matter, I'll support you, regardless :)

Love your paintings very much, @mongoosely <3 Your style and colours are conveys so much uniqueness and spirit <3
