This one was made in summer 2016 after I visited my first small psychedelic festival in Latvia. It was very beautiful and full of meaningfull events for me and especially for my art. It was so colorful and impressing that something changed and I wanted to paint more. I bought huge(huge for my small room) canvases, locked myself in my room for about a month and just did what I could at that moment. The only place I went out was tea room in the centre of the city I live and there I met this Herman's Hesse's quote “We are sun and moon, dear friend; we are sea and land. It is not our purpose to become each other; it is to recognize each other, to learn to see the other and honor him for what he is: each the other's opposite and complement.”. It looked so close to me and to my painting so I just wrote it on the back of it. I was very happy about those little gnomes there doing their stuff and going crazy. This painting somehow reminds me of summer solstice celebration...It was the first painting of that 'after-festival' series. They gave me a lot of happiness and joy! Oh and I also fell in love back then so I guess it is the biggest inspiration for me till now! There are more!
