Uncharted Waters
The original ink drawing is titled 16 Men on a Dead Mans Chest.
This is a vector image I created from my original ink drawing. That drawing was inspired by a lyric from the Tom Waits’ song Jockey Full of Bourbon. The reference to 16 men on a deadman’s chest always reminds me of a pirate scene, though I think Tom had something else in mind. It is apparently part childrens' rhyme and part story of a cabbie driving someone around for nefarious activities.
The colored vector version was used to create an acrylic painting from, so I changed the name to Uncharted Waters to be more appealing to a general public.
