International Women's Day

in art •  6 years ago

A few days ago was a wonderful holiday.

The modern celebration of International Women's Day is considered the day of spring, feminine beauty, tenderness, spiritual wisdom and attention to a woman, regardless of her status or age.

In many countries, this holiday is no longer celebrated.

In my country, the holiday of March 8 begins on the evening of the seventh, and, judging by the evening city streets on the eve of the holiday, it is mainly celebrated by men. But in any case, all women of my country are waiting for flowers and, of course, they will be congratulated on March 8.

In my country, this wonderful day is also an official day off.

On this day I decided to paint a wonderful still life with a very beautiful bouquet of flowers.
Still life painted in a3 watercolor
It took me about 5 hours

We do celebrate IWD but we don't have a day off. Actually, I live in Switzerland at the moment and it's not celebrated here but my husband always congratulate me as he knows that we celebrate it back home. And it is always nice to recognize your wife :)

I hope you had a great celebration :)

It's a nice bouquet and I also like the composition. Well done!

Have a good start of the week!
