Pushkin vs George d'Anthès. My original artworks (gel pen).

in art •  8 years ago

At the beginning of my Steemit journey I've made posts devoted to the creativity of Great Russian poet Alexander Pushkin. It were two posts with my illustrations to his poetry fairytale "About Tzar Saltan...". In this posts I wrote a little about his biography and I mentioned, that he was killed by George Dantes on a duel. Actually he was not killed at once, but mortally wounded. Pushkin defended the honor of his wife and his family.

The story of Pushkin's last duel is well known and literature teachers always pay attention on this last episode of poet's life.

Pushkin lived in Saint-Petersburg and so am I. At  Pushkin's times our city was a capital of our country and many great poets, writers, artists, architects, scientists and etc. lived here, thats why till now Saint-Petersburg is called the cultural capital of our country.

But I moved away from the topic. My goal is to represent you my artwork to the Hop Head brewery, again. Two artworks for labels for the craft beer.

The first is called "Pushkin" it is Russian dark ale

And the second is milk Stout "George d'Anthès"

That George d'Anthès is a handsome chap! Excellent work.

yes, he was, but if you read his biography you could see that he was a bounder

Oh the scoundrel!

Do you have a similar one featuring Dostoyevsky? What is the price for the original artwork?

yes, I have Dostoyevsky, I posted it may be 2months ago

Hey, after the first look into Your artwork I got frustrated as the lines looked extremely accurate. To be honest they are pretty sharp, just at some places You could sharpen them up. Original, creative piece of art! Good to see these kind of things here! Keep it up!
